About this Blog

1 Corinthians 10:31 So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Praying for Direction & Answering a Call
I recently found myself with a verse from Isaiah (Isaiah 6:8) echoing  in my head - Here am I [Lord], send me! God calls us to be good stewards of our time, treasures and talents and one of my greatest fears in life was that I wasn't living up to His potential for me. God has blessed me immensely and I prayed consistently for an outlet in which I could serve Him.

This blog is a result of that persistent prayer. It is a humble labor of love and of gratitude for all the blessings that have been bestowed unto me. I don't proclaim to be anything or anyone special but I do feel God has blessed me with some talents and  passions in life--as he does with all of us--that I might be able to share and ultimately help someone.

The world is facing an obesity epidemic. Currently, two thirds of the United States population is either overweight or obese. Many of us have become slaves to our busy lifestyles. We work harder than we ever have just to fulfill our desire for worldly treasures and climb to the top of the ever elusive corporate latter. Are we really any happier? The statistics say "no". We are often stressed beyond measure and rarely take time to devote to the things that are important in life. I ask you, what do we really have to show for all this strife and turmoil?

Meanwhile, as a result of all this chaos and dysfunction our health is suffering. We don't eat right, exercise or spend daily time in prayer leaving us physically, emotionally and spiritually unbalanced. Trust me, I am guilty of neglecting all of these things just as much as the next person. But throughout the past few years God has helped me let go of many of my unhealthy habits and replace them with healthier ones.  Eating right and exercising are passions of mine and I know without a doubt that my spiritual health in many ways hinges on these good habits. Despite this progress, however, I am constantly reminded of how how much room I have to grow and how much there is to learn.

Although the primary purpose of this blog is to serve God and help others I have no doubts that it will challenge me to the core. It will force me to examine some of my lingering unhealthy eating habits and find new and exciting ways to exercise to prevent burnout. Most critically, it will challenge me spiritually to deepen my faith and strengthen my commitment to being the Christian I hope to be.

What you can expect from me.

At least once a week (hopefully more) I will post a topic related to one of the three themes of this blog: faith, food or fitness. My goal is to encourage you along your journey for better physical and spiritual health and connect you with the information and tools you need to be successful.

What I would love from you.
